Firefighters die Mc Carthy and Coom
Last week two more firefighters Mc Carthy and Coom were added to Firemans Hall of Fame.
Several thousand first alert responders stood outside as 2,000 remained seated to view two funeral services in St Joseph Cathedral today. Plus thousands more are expected to line the miles of streets from two funeral homes. Today Buffalo honored lt Charles W Chip Mc Carthy Jr and firefighter Jonathan S Coom. The firefighters who died together trying to rescue someone that they believed was trapped inside a burning building.
This was a replay of the 1983 propane explosion that leveled a city block in Buffalo’s Ellicott District , that killed five fiefighters, where thousands upon thousands of firefighters came to mour the lost lives. All in freshly pressed full uniforms and caps, showing the respect for the fallen heros. Speakers are placed to allow all attending to hear the words and sounds from each of the funeral services near and far,who had never personally met Mc Carthy or Coom, listen as they morn the loss of the firefighters. “Brother” is a name they have for each other embraced by a union of Brotherhood of Firefighters, that numbers over 10,000 plus. Looking back at 1983 ,12,000 who showed up in 6 degree weather on new years eve to pay their respects to the five firefighters who died in the propane explosion. Songwriter Gerald Ralston pened words and lyrics that created “The Firemans Song” and gathered many top musicians with music by Frank Parlato Jr, Tom Bauerle ,Ted Reinhardt,and world famous Buffalo record producer Tommy Calandra of BCMK music. Ralston and Christie Rothchild Mary Stock,and many others invited soap opera star , Michael Damion of “Young and the Restless” to do the vocal arrangement , placed on H.E.R.O “Helping Everyone Reach Out ” records” a collector record and live performance at Buffalo New York Central Train Station. the words of the song tells it all .

i do believe that all those men
will go down in the
firemans hall of fame.
Today they will add 2 more firefighters to the “fireman’s hall of fame.
