Only visiting this planet
ONLY VISITING THIS PLANET By Gerald Ralston
As I took a break from learning more about ,
Internet marketing , rss and google reader, feedburner and internet 2.0.
I feel I’m in college. Today I started a new venture I was involved
many years ago fitness, for adults and children of all ages.
I picked up a old copy of Country weekly Jan 07, I was just relaxing my
brain reading, when I came across a story I really wanted to post
on my blog .
It was an Interview with singer legend Kenny Rogers.
The Interviewer Pat Gallagher in Pop Quiz asked this question
and I wanted to pass it out to every perspective singer songwriter
musician in the world.
What he stated is a good lesson to anyone of any age in the
entertainment industry.
QUESTION ?
What advice would you give to any new
artist just starting out in 2009?
Kenny Rogers stated this
“If you are you are in this business for money”
GET OUT OF IT NOW!!!
Because chances are you won’t last long enough for success to find you .
Most artists who have longevity got into this business because they love
and have a passion for the music and can’t imagine doing
anything else,I know that it’s how I felt.
He also did a shout out to a great
songwriting team d vincent williams and tommy connors
who just finished his new song
the last 10 years (Superman)
A trip down memory lane covering 10 years worth of pop
culture and historical events,
It will be featured on lp
Water & Bridges, and every song on it had to have something
important to say.
Thanks Pat Gallagher , for this
special moment .
To finalize this blog
Let me add this, This has been a very
important day in my life, as I
sat in front of the tv with
CNN and watched the memorial to a man that tried to change the
world with many assorted songs. Today Michael Jackson did just that
to start a healing of hate and turn it to love for one another,
as we all live on this planet called Earth.
As Larry Norman stated, one of my favorite
songwriters of all time, who passed away last year.
“Remember this and when you close
your eyes and only you and God are there remember,
“We are only visiting this Planet”
